RAWLEY PLANT LIMITED & THE CONVENIENCE
COMPANY (EAST) will ensure, as far as reasonably
practicable, the health and safety of all
employees whilst at work. All employees,
likewise, must take reasonable care of their
own health and safety and that of others
who may be affected by their work, including
members of the public.
The Management and Supervisory staff have
the responsibility for implementing the Policy
throughout the Company and must ensure that
the Health & Safety considerations are
always given an appropriately high priority
in planning and supervision of work activities.
All employees and subcontractors are required
to co-operate with the company in carrying
out the Policy and must ensure that their
respective work activities are carried out,
so far as reasonably practicable, in accordance
with both general and specific requirements
of the Policy and carried out without risk
to themselves or others. The Managing Director,
Mr. Malcolm Hodges, is responsible for the
company’s health, safety and welfare, to
whom reference should be made in the event
of any difficulties arising in the implementation
of the Policy, and he will ensure that the
Policy is reviewed annually and revised if
necessary.
All matters relating to the implementation
of the Policy will be monitored in accordance
with the chain of supervision which forms
part of the Safety Policy. Additional monitoring
of the Policy will be carried out by the
Company Health & Safety Officer who will
provide necessary advice, recommendations
and inspections of work places, in order
that Managers and employees may correctly
meet their responsibilities as defined in
the Policy.
The copy of the Policy Statement shall be
displayed prominently at each company establishment
and major work site, and issued to all members
of staff with a copy of the written working
instructions where appropriate.
