Colin Rawley and his father established
Rawley Plant Limited in 1961 hiring
tool and mechanical plant to local householders
and businesses in the construction industry. Their determination
to provide excellent customer service soon saw the company grow from a small local firm to one
supplying businesses throughout the whole of the south east of England.
During the 1980's the company diversified their products to include tools, mechanical plant and site
accommodation which provided anti-vandal portable site offices, portable canteens and stores as well as anti-vandal mains toilet blocks. This product range was complimented by site
serviced chemical toilets and related services.
The new millenium heralded the development of their
own range of site welfare cabins. Firstly the COMBI® a portable cabin with an integral, weekly serviced toilet then the COMBI-GEN®, self powered welfare cabins, extremely
popular with contracting
clients wishing to meet all current CDM Health & Safety
Regulations in one self-containted, mobile or jackleg unit.

In 2001 Rawley entered the event
toilet hire market, firstly with the
franchised Convenience
Company range of luxury mobile toilets and
then with Rawley
Event Toilets.
This was a natural development building on
the experience and skills gained in construction
toilet hire. Today they maintain two
toilet hire fleets, one for the events market
and a completely separate fleet for construction
site use.
After the disposal of the plant and
tool hire business in 2005 Rawley are now totally committed to providing quality site
accommodation and toilet hire.
Rawley Plant Limited remains
an independent, family owned and managed business and continues
to evolve to meet changing customer needs.
What has remained the same throughout, however,
is the ethos of their friendly and helpful customer
service. What helps them to deliver
reliable service is their team of employees
and investment in suitable products,
vehicles and systems.
Rawley own and operate their own delivery and service
vehicles and employ their own drivers and
service operatives so that control and quality
can be ensured time after time. This also
means they can respond flexibly and quickly to your requirements.
Based
in Basildon, Rawley Plant Limited provide site accommodation and toilet hire services
within Essex, London, Hertfordshire
and Kent but the COMBI®, COMBI-GEN® and ecoCABIN range
of welfare units are available over a wider
area.
The Rawley business supports the local environment
through our corporate membership of the Essex
Wildlife Trust and in 2011 we were recognised for our 15 years' support to
the Trust.
